HGM Construction was started in 2006 by Director Hamish Murrell with the goal of providing innovative, yet simple solutions to complex construction projects throughout New Zealand. With over 15 years in the industry, Hamish has gained a wide variety of experience and has developed a vast knowledge and skill set of construction practices and principles.

HGM provides a wide range of services to a diverse client base ranging from Government Agencies and Local Authorities, other Civil and Drilling Contractors, Residential and Commercial Builders, Private Clients, Consultants and other project delivery partners.

The key to the Company’s success is its wide range of specialised plant and equipment varying in size to fit any project large or small. This is backed by its highly skilled and experienced team and a wide network of Suppliers and Sub-contractors that Hamish has worked hard to build strong relationships with since 2006.

HGM prides itself on its dedicated and professional team of staff who are passionate about what they do. They strive on using their skill and innovation to provide simple, cost effective, efficient and safe solutions to projects.

HGM also employs a health & safety, quality assurance and environmental manager to coordinate systems and ensure compliance in these areas.

Quality Assurance

 HGM is committed to providing high quality services to its clients and has adopted a Quality Management System designed to meet the objectives of an ISO 14001 system.

From the first consultation through to project completion a huge emphasis is put on planning, communication and documentation to streamline the project and achieve the best outcome for all stakeholders.

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICIES

HGM has a Sustainability Policy outlining its key objectives in operating in a sustainable manor. HGM has systems in place to ensure it complies with all environmental legislation and regulations and objectives and guidelines are included in all project quality plans. Staff are trained to carry out their work while following best practice procedures in relation to environmental policies.

Health & Safety

Health & Safety is a top priority at HGM and all possible steps are taken to ensure the safety of everyone on our sites. HGM has a dedicated Health and Safety Manager who has designed a custom Health and Safety system to meet the requirements of our work and ensure that all legislation and regulations are complied with.  Our system is regularly audited and HGM has achieved Sitewise Green status.
