Coronation Reserve is a popular recreation area, known for its Historical hospital, large eucalyptus trees, panoramic views of the city and natural beauty within the urban Cashmere area. HGM was engaged to complete a significant upgrade of the track network throughout the entire reserve and some of its supporting infrastructure, improving accessibility, safety, and the overall visitor experience.
Key features of the project included:
- Strategic track realignment to reduce steep gradients and improve accessibility.
- Installation of in-ground stringer steps in the steeper sections
- Graveling of all the new and existing track network throughout the reserve
- Design, construction and installation of three custom built macrocarpa benches for rest stops.
Highlights of the project delivered include:
- Our specialised fleet of track dumpers enabled the efficient transport of gravel and materials across challenging terrain, allowing works to be completed quickly while minimising disruption to track users.
- A carefully planned construction methodology allowed crews to work around existing staircses and infastructure, preserving these assets while delivering the upgrades safely and efficiently.
The HGM team were proud of the final outcome. By combining practical construction expertise with quality craftmanship, HGM delivered an enhanced recreational space that will be enjoyed by the community for many years to come.
